iPhone 3G is officially coming to India on 22nd August. And Nokia seems to be worries about it! In a desperate attempt to steal some thunder from the iPhone, it has announced its N96.
The N96 would officially launch only in September, but pre-registrations with Rs 4000 as advance is now being accepted. N96 has all the features that you would want, along with 16 GB memory and 5MP camera.
In India, the N96 would come preloaded with the movie ‘Om Shanti Om’, 50 music videos, music tracks in (Hindi & English) and 3 N-Gage games (+an unlimited license on for the 3rd edition of Asphalt Urban). It will also have 3 country Nokia Maps (Singapore, UAE and India). Also on offer is a 3 month Navigation license for 8 Indian cities.
But does the non-touch media phone like the N96 compete with the charm of the iPhone? We can just wait and watch!
