Owing to the sharp decline in Australian dollar iPod’s and probably iPhone’s might be the cheapest there! While a new 8GB iPod model is priced at 199 Australian dollars it converts to 131.95 USD on the CommSec iPod nano index. Compares to the US pricing of $149, the margin is quite big. So forget those relatives in US and hunt for friends from Australia…!
The CommSec iPod index showed that Australia was the cheapest place among 62 countries to buy an Apple iPod 8GB nano music player. In July, it was ranked 14th.
