ClickOnRadio is an free entertainment app via the AppStore that lets you see the songs playing on nearby radio stations now and for the past hour. It also gives the ability to enter any U.S. zip code to also search for stations manually.
The app provides info on songs including:
- links to related YouTube videos
- song title & artist
- album art
- song previews
- song lyrics
- links to buy songs in iTunes
- links to radio advertiser websites
- links to radio station websites
This app is a great way to learn about the music you hear on the radio. Its cool to hear a song on the radio and then watch related YouTube videos within seconds! You can also learn the lyrics of the song by seeing it.
This blows away other music discovery apps where you have to hold up your phone to the radio and wait for the app to identify songs you are listening to.
Note: The app only offers radio station info in the United States currently. However they are working to provide more geographic areas in the future.
With other music discovery apps if the song you are trying to identify ends, you’re out of luck. With ClickOnRadio,it shows you what aired on the radio in the past hour, so you won’t miss it
Also get info on the ads you hear on the radio you have forgotten and the app will give you a link of the advertiser.
ClickOnRadio shows you what radio stations are nearby based on your GPS (for 3G iPhone) or location via WiFI (for iTouch) and via Edge (for iPhone). Users also have the option of entering any U.S. zip code to find radio stations.
