Sms counter is a utility app for the iPhone which allows you to keep a track of your text messages on your iPhone. It keeps a record of the number of smses sent or received on your iPhone. However, it doesn’t read messages. So don’t mistake it as a sms replacement app for the iPhone as it only counts the number of messages and keeps a track of all your messages. The app has various other features.
The ‘Period’ tab in the app allows you to choose the date/period for which you wish to see your sms. You can also choose the type of messages (incoming or outgoing or all) as per your requirements in the ‘Message Type’ tab. But my favorite feature is that you can also choose the person you have messaged i.e.| you can check how many messages have you sent/received to a particular person, from what period and its type (incoming or outgoing) at the same time by changing the preferences in the app.
But that’s not all, the app also allows you to see the sms distribution chart i.e.| pie diagram so that you can see the percentage of messages you have sent to a particular person compared to others. The message count tab at the bottom displays the number of messages sent/received.
This app is pretty useful for checking bills and keeping a record of text messages on the iPhone. The app is straightforward to use and has a convenient interface. It is available via cydia for free.
