Now back at OG we really love surveys and researches, and here comes another one. A market research firm Generatorresearch has estimated that the Apple iPhones would capture 40% of the global smartphone market by 2013 and surpass Nokia in smartphone sales by selling 77million iPhones in 2013!

To achieve this Apple will certainly have all that we predicted ages back, i.e. hit each and every segment of smartphone users. The report also signifies the importance of the appstore / itunes  and developers.

In 2013, the App store will be “developed to the point where third party developers have access to network assets that will allow them to write programs that can send messages and establish voice calls between different iPhones.”

While what facts about Apple and Nokia leads to this assumption is unknown, but this surely makes me feel that we might see 2 new iPhones in 2009! A low cost nano and the other one more on the lines of the iPhone Pro! Also what we need to watchout is the fact that Apple plans to doubleup  iPhone  and iPod Touch as a gaming device aswell. So the future iPhones biggest USP might well me gaming+appstore+media+revolutionary phone!

Incidentally both Apple and Nokia are listed as clients with Generator!
