iPhone / iPod touch getting premium games to compete with Sony PSP and Nintendo DS?

We shall soon see a premium games section on the Appstore that will feature some of the best games for the platform. While the pricing would be steep @ $19.99 but the words that this would compete with Sony PSP and Nintendo DS makes us really excited.

While the games currently on the iPhone are good enough (with many free games) major publishers like EA and Gameloft would contribute to this premium section. As always Apple has no official word on this so we can label this as a rumor, but we already know that iPhone / iPod Touch is being promoted as a media+gaming platform by Apple!

Hope the future iPhone / iPod Touch carry more battery power to handle these games…

Update: Ok, it seems some innovative battery on iPods and iPhone is in works.
