Talks for Apple iPhone in China fail?

We have been hearing since long about the launch of iPhone 3G in China. But reports suggest that talks between Apple and China Mobile has failed. China Mobile has a 72 percent share of the market i.e. 634 million subscribers as of the end of November.

As it seems, China Mobile had objections on Apple directly selling AppStore apps to its consumers. The reasoning as per iPhoneStalk “Apple interacting and directly collecting payment from Chinese consumers (seen) as a “threat” to Chine Mobile’s dominance over the country’s mobile internet market.”

However we believe that China Mobile realises the potential earnings possible via AppStore. And wants a share
