While Apple has sold 10 million iPhone 3G’s worldwide; O2 has managed an impressive 1 million in UK alone since the iPhone was first launched by the carrier some 16 months back.

While the 1million mark represents total sales of both iPhone 1st Gen and the iPhone 3G; we believe majority sales are of the iPhone 3G that was released in July last year.

“We can also announce that as of today more than 1 million iPhones have been sold in the UK”.
