We reported sometime back that Apple might be able to pull off 1 billion App Store downloads just before the launch of iPhone3. After announcing recently that 800 million Apps have been downloaded using the iTunes AppStore, Apple has now kicked off a contest giving away over 10000$ worth of goodies to celebrate 1billion App downloads.
The figure is currently over 900 million and 1billion will come pretty soon with 30000+ Apps waiting to be downloaded by millions of iPhone users.
