Last year we saw Hanuman Chalisa on the iPhone and here we now a couple of more religious apps on the App Store. Shri Durga Prarthana and Shri Vishnu Prarthana allows you to pay tribute to Goddess Durga and Lord Vishnu from your iPhone itself.
The app would either allow you to listen+read to the prayer (chalisa) or perform virtual Aarti yourself. The virutal aarti would allow you to perform a complete pooja. The audio is pretty neat and clear. The app is very smooth and works perfect.
While playing the chalisa you can select option to view the text in Hindi or English. For every line of chalisa text there is a pictorial represntation and explanation is provided, you can also just swipe your finger to scroll backward/forward to the next sentence or use the navigations on the screen below.
Compatable with iPhone and iPod touch, iPhone OS 2.2. Costs $1.99 each.
