So while we digest Apple’s plan to release 2 new devices for Verizon (iPhone Lite and Media Pad / Netbook) here comes another one. Apparently the smartphone that Microsoft is rumored to be developing might be releasing on Verizon. No dates yet but considering new iPhones and Android models are coming in plenty, it has to be soon.

Back in February  this year Microsoft promptly denied similar reports (incidentally even that time the report came from WSJ). It is believed that the new smart phone is being developed under the codename ‘pink’ and would be powered by Windows Mobile (with some more goodies). The device would be manufactured by some 3rd party.

Another recent leak had raveled specs/images of Zune HD that is said to be a iPod Touch competitor from Microsoft. Too many rumors and all hitting Verizon, something must be cooking for sure, anyone excited?
