ipod-registrationThe cops at Portsmouth, New Hampshire have introduced an iPod Registry program to bring down the number of iPod thefts in local schools. The police believe that the registration program would also help to speed up the investigation of the stolen iPods.

The students are supposed to give the details of the iPod’s serial number, make and model in order to register their iPods. The Police department would issue a sticker for the iPod which says that the iPod has been ID’d.

But seriously, would it help control the thefts with the registration process? Tell us in the comments.
