Apple is now offering the iPhone 3G via its online store now and the same gets shipped to you free of cost. Apple typically clears out the current generation stock well before the next generation device is unveiled, thus this move is seen as Apple’s attempt to sell out its remaining stock of iPhone 3G before the iPhone 3.0 is launched @ WWDC 09.
The expectations from iPhone 3.0 is high with Nokia N97, Palm Pre and Android catching up fast. The success of the AppStore will also be put to test with almost all other platforms getting ready with their App market now. 2009 would surely be the war of titans for Smartphones!

FREE IPHONE??? hmm what is the catch? OHH you mean I will be paying for it in the end through higher cost monthly inferior service on ATT networks? haha I knew their was a catch!!! No thanx they would have to pay me to use it. I wil take a PRE which is superior in every way and I wil have money left over every month and after 2 years be able to go on a cruise or 2 while the person with the FREE IPHONE is broke!!
