Apple is now offering the iPhone 3G via its online store now, and the same gets shipped to you free of cost. Apple typically clears out the current generation stock well before the next generation device is unveiled; thus this move is seen as Apple’s attempt to sell out its remaining stock of iPhone 3G before the iPhone 3.0 is launched @ WWDC 09.
The expectations from iPhone 3.0 are high with Nokia N97, Palm Pre and Android catching up fast. The success of the AppStore will also be put to test with almost all other platforms getting ready with their App market now. 2009 would surely be the war of titans for Smartphones!
