Yxflash video player for the iPhone / iPod Touch is available via Cydia through the Modmyi repository. The app allows you to play various formats such as flv, divx, wmv, xvid. This is the first app playing xvid / divx on the iPod Touch / the iPhone. So finally you can watch that collection of movies in avi format without going to through the trouble of converting them in iTunes. Though converted videos do play a bit smoother, xvid format also plays pretty well. The player also plays flash content if you have downloaded flash flv videos to your device. But remember that it is not a web based flash player so it won’t play flash videos on mobile safari. The app is free to download via Cydia and is available via Modmyi repository.
The only problem I see in the app is that you can’t save or view the video files within the app. You will have to manually go to the path where the videos have been stored for eg var/mobile/library/downloads and then click on the video to play it.
