Next Gen iPod Nano to Sport a Camera, Launch Expected in July/ September?

iLounge reports about a major hardware change – the addition of camera – in the upcoming iPod Nano model, the iPod Nano 5G. Based on an artist’s rendition,  they have published some images of what they expect to be the upcoming iPod Nano.

The above image show a wider screen with a ratio of 1:5:1 up from 1:33:1, a smaller click wheel and tinier centre button – moved a bit to support the bigger screen. This change in screen size can also mean that Apple is more willing to focus on the new landscape mode, introduced last time.Though it is very hard to imagine an iPod Nano with a camera, the position in the above image is what we could call the least odd. Still, it is pretty much difficult to digest the same. It is speculated that the model will be released alongside the new iPod Touch 2G – also rumored to have a camera – in July/ September this year like the last time.

Though these seem to be just rumors, iLounge has had a good track of revealing upcoming features as in the last iPod nano 4G and iPod Touch 2G launch.
