At WWDC 09 Apple proudly announced the availability of the iPhone 3G @ $99 with immediate effect. While this is certainly a stock clearance technique for Apple, I don’t really see a $100 price cut as a very lucrative for the buyers.
The iPhone 3GS launches for $199 with a 16GB version on 19th June. But for that $100 extra you get much more than just the 8GB extra storage over the old iPhone 3G.
- Better camera with Video Recording
- Voice Controls
- Digital compass
- Better graphics, unmatched games
- Batter processing power, more ram = better speed, better web surfing
- 7.2 Mbps HSDPA
Saving a $100 to lose out so much? Not worth it IMO!
