RipDev has officially confirmed that its end of life for Installer on jailbroken iPhones. Installer is the very first platform for 3rd party apps to be installed on iPhones. We used it extensively on iPhone OS 1.x, but with iPhone OS 2.0 and Cydia coming in; Installer had lost its charm and usage had dropped drastically.
However Ripdev has its new ICY installer tool ready for OS 3.0 and it looks swift and promising to us . Lets hope we continue to see some cool apps on iPhone 3.0 via ICY and Cydia

i have an iPhone 2G with Firmware 3.0 & I have been using ICY Installer since 1 year & never had any issues but lately since last month it does not even start up, can anyone help me out….thanx !
