No wonder, their servers were strained! Apple has seen 6 million downloads for the iPhone 3.0 firmware since its release on 17th June and has sold 1million iPhone 3GS’ in just 2 days. This includes many online pre – orders that Apple was accepting for the 3GS.
The 3GS is the 3rd iteration of the jesus phone aka the Apple iPhone. Since its launch in 2007, the Apple iPhone has sold millions of units and has created an App Store around it. Full touch screen phones are bouncing back into the trend with the iPhones success. With the 3GS, Apple has made a serious push towards GPU performance on the iPhone.
Interestingly the Press Release we received quotes a comment by Apple CEO, Steve Jobs. Wonder if, he is back from his leave (if yes, cheers).
Many rumors of a liver transplant on Apple CEO Steve Jobs are floating around on the web. Without any confirmation, on the same, its really hard to believe it. Guess we will wait for his official comeback to Apple. For the moment, Apple iPhone 3G Speed seems to be catching up good momentum…
