Apple has shipped out 1 million+ iPhone 3GS’ already and here it is poised to set some more milestones. With the original iPhone, and a killer Mobile Safari version – Apple rules the mobile web usage with an overwhelming marketshare. And now with the Video powered iPhone 3GS it seems mobile video uploads to the web will get a boost (just as I expected!).
The YouTube blog reveals to us that the iPhone 3G S has started to play its magic on video uploads on the site. Within days of its release, the 3GS is able to boost the video uploads from mobile by 400%!!!!
I read somewhere last year that YouTube consumes 7% of global Internet bandwidth. No wonder AT&T had to upgrade its network significantly to handle the iPhone 3GS.
