The survey of 2300 retail stores by Nikkei.net revealed that iPhone 3G 8GB and 16GB are the #1 and #2 smartphones in Japan respectively.
Not very convincing to me, but it seems that iPhone 3G 8GB is the most popular (as per sales) smartphone in Japan. Earlier we had reports of extremely poor sales of iPhone in India and apparently Vodafone promoting Blackberry Storm over the iPhone 3G here. But Japan is a completely different ball game, isn’t it?
A survey of 2300 retail stores in any country can be exhaustive enough to believe, but I would still like to hear the official figures from Apple itself. Btw Blackberry Bold stands at #6 according to this survey.
