Not much to our surprise, but a survey now confirms that Games priced under $2 are the best sellers on the Apple iTunes AppStore. While the App Store houses 50000 apps with tones of games amongst them, the best selling apps aren’t the best products. They are the smart priced and TimePass apps.
However coming back to games, the study conducted by PocketGamer.biz took data of 100 top games on the App Store – before concluding that $0.99 and $4.99 games sell the most. With $1.89 as the average price for the top 10 games.
While the data reveals that <$2 is the best price, I feel good games at $4.99 will do well. For instance the Hero of Sparta by Gameloft.
