Apple's legal team tried to pull down Microsoft's Laptop Hunter ADs!

Now this is some revelation! Microsoft COO Kevin Turner, while confirming Microsoft retail stores this fall also spoke about how confident they are about the success of their Laptop Hunter Ads targeted at Apple. Apparently Apple’s Legal team called up Kevin and asked them to take down the Laptop Hunter ADs since Apple has not reduced prices for Mac and the ADs aren’t 100% accurate anymore.

Microsoft and apple have been at war since ages. Both companies are arch rivals in the computer market, with Microsoft dominating with Windows OS and Mac being the only competitor with some traction. It’s necessary for them to keep battling it out for consumers own good.

We are also seeing reports of Microsoft planning to place their retail stores very close to Apple Stores (obvious isn’t it?). Things are certainly getting heated here.

Here, is what Kevin said:

And you know why I know [the commercials are] working? Because two weeks ago we got a call from the Apple legal department saying, hey — this is a true story — saying, “Hey, you need to stop running those ads, we lowered our prices.” They took like $100 off or something. It was the greatest single phone call in history that I’ve ever taken in business. (Applause.)

Apple Vs Microsoft AD campaigns are funny and its a nice battle between the two. Ultimate winner is of course us…
