Rumors of Apple iPod and iPod Touch with a mic and camera got a boost with Cult of Mac posting pictures of some iPod cases that have a clearly visible camera hole. According to the leaked cases the iPod touch will get a camera in the center while the iPod nano will get it at the bottom which makes it usable while holding the iPod in portrait mode.
“My company had got full information and dimension,” wrote a Chinese distributor in an email to a U.S. reseller. “Enclosed some image and instruction for your reference. Most of the sample available now. If you need some sample check quality please freely let me know.”
Lot of other info like the pricing for upcoming Nano and iPod touch has been rumored here. The cases also suggest that the iPod Nano will get a bigger screen and a smaller click wheel. The storage capacity is expected to be double at the same price.

With the new iPods launch time approaching (as per Apple’s previous upgrade timing), manufacturing should ideally be in full swing at the moment. We should expect such rumors on a regular basis now. Take them all with a pinch of salt!
