Review TuneWiki: Outclasses default iPod app

One of the major selling points of Apple’s iPhone and iPod touch is how easy it is to expand upon the out-of- the- box functions via the iTunes Application Store.

TuneWiki is one of the most advanced and innovative music application, the main USP (even though it is available for free :P) or UDP (unique download proposition you can say :P) of this app is that it allows you to listen to music while watching subtitled lyrics, and it also translates the lyrics in 40 languages.

TuniWiki imports all the songs including playlist from your iPhone and iPod, and when you play a song it search the lyrics and then start playing the song with subtitled lyrics. You can also watch the corresponding video of the song that you are currently playing (searches in Youtube).

For some songs, it was not able to find the subtitled lyrics (My Michelle by AFI in my case), it showed only simple text lyrics, but it prompted me to create the subtitled version, all I need to tap on the line which is currently being sung, you’ve to do this only once, and it creates and store the subtitled version (this contributes to the community by adding and syncing lyrics to songs that are missing from Tunewiki database), so when you play the same song it will show you the subtitled version, which I think is exceptionally good feature.

Another cool feature is Music Maps, through which you can see what is playing around the world and where in the world specific songs are being played on an interactive world map.

You can also blip (let others know) the song that you are currently listening on facebook and on twitter and you can also share your thoughts about songs and artist with others around the world..

TuneWiki has  thousands of streaming internet radio stations with synced lyrics. It will also let you know about the current hits and will keep you updated about the current music buzz.

You can also search for your favorite song’s lyrics  whether you own the actual song or not, you can also copy the lyrics and paste it notepad or email it or whatever you want and you can buy that song as well.

What thing you would not like is,  is the advertisements playing on top (because they are not charging anything for this app). All I can say is that I love this application and I all have this.

TuneWiki is available on AppStore for free. 🙂
