First I thought that it would be  yet another soccer game played between 2-teams, but something was bothering me because it also got Backstreet suffixed in the name. I tried the lite version which is available for free, but later on I switched to full version which is available for $ 1.99 (which is worth enough for this gem :P ).

iSoccer Backstreet is freestyle soccer game, where players battle it out by performing amazing body balancing and dribbling tricks with different body parts, following complex rhythm patterns on streets.

Well the gameplay is awesome, graphics is good too.

When you launch this game, you will be presented by auto scene which will rip your nerves out (atleast it did ripped mine :P ), this flashy intro scene will make you feel that as if you are playing it on a PC.

The player that you choose to play has good details. Game backgrounds are quite neatly designed with good details and game sound seems to be decent (It would’ve been much better if the game imports your iPod music). The controls are quite good and to do tricks you’ve to tilt the device(let me tell you that this game has fully utilized the iPhone tilting capabilities), swipe and tap on screen and it varies a lot.

There is a button labeled Hit or Shoot that you press when you want to make contact with the ball. In freestyle mode you can select the body part you wish to hit the ball with and execute tricks via a wheel in the bottom left corner of the screen.

The game contains various levels or better say modes, in which you can perform tricks, balance the ball by tilting your device, Well my favorite mode was the destruction mode in which you’ve to run on street to aim and shoot the given targets; which really made me the fan of this game :) , and this level is not there in Lite version (but according to me this level should have been given to lite version, which would really increased a lot more fans).

The game boasts a good amount of character customization and unlock-able content at each level. The higher the score, the more items you unlock. Those items range from new shoes, shorts, t-shirts, and soccer balls. These clothes and accessories that are unlocked wont improve your players performance which happens in most of the other games. You can also unlock new moves to show off during certain levels.

Well there is no multiplayer support, all you can do is upload your High score online and compete with other iSoccer players available across the globe, To do that you need to create a username. You can also sync your score with Facebook, for doing that you need to associate your FB userid.

Overall, iSoccer Backsteet is a quite different game with good visuals and neat controls, and there are a number of tricks to unlock and master, so you certainly won’t run out of things to do for a while.  For $1.99, the game is worth to give a shot.:)
