LG has seen good success with iPhone like full touchscreen devices. The original LG Chocolate, LG Prada and off late the LG Cookie have done very well. While the LG Cookie saw great success with the low pricing, the recently launched LG Arena has taped the premium section of the market pretty well it seems.
The LG Arena has sold a million units in 5 months. While that;s not really a iPhone 3GS killer sales, but LG sure has some competition coming iPhone’s way. The 3GS stock issues and delayed global rollout only helps the iPhone competitors. Arena is already on sale in 53 countries and the general unsubsidized pricing beats the iPhone 3Gs while still proving a good mix of features and specs. LG would hope to continue the momentum with the upcoming Chocolate BL40.
