Skype is updated to version 1.2 and it is working fine on Jailbroke iPhones and iPod Touch (When you first launch, it pops an alert saying that this version of skype supports only unmodified OS, Just ignore it and tap OK). This updates includes many new features like now you can forward skype calls to a phone number when you are not signed in. You can even send now SMS to phone numbers (but you need skype credit for that), but vice versa is not possible.
Other important feature that this updates includes is that now you can decide whether you want to stay online or offline when your phone is locked, You can set this by launching the default Settings app.
Contacts are grouped now, which includes following tabs: Recently Contacted, Online,Skype(This shows all your skype contacts and new request as well), Saved Phone Numbers (lets you store and edit saved phone numbers). Call quality is improved too while making skype-to-skype call. App loading speed has also increased.
Other Features includes:
- Group chat profile pictures are now shown.
- You can now add/remove your profile picture.
- Added a ‘Help’ link to ‘Forgot your password’.
- Improved support for proxy configurations.
Though Push Notifications is not included in this update !!!
