easytrails is a GPS based app to record your tracks for your iPhone/iTouch. The best that you would like about this app is that its use interface is quite simple and easy to understand and use. Once you launch this app it will try to establish connection with satellite so make sure you are not inside the room :P . As soon as you see GPS (with 5 bars) on top, tapping the Rec will start recording your track. You can even pause the recording.

Now coming to its interface, It records time, Distance in kilometers ( miles option is lacking, I’m expecting this in future updates), Altitude and Speed in Kilometers. One your track is recorded it comes to Tracks Section with a cool brief information, you can also view your track in Map (Satellite, Standard and Hybrid)if you are connected to Internet.

Another good thing that I like in this app is the Charts, Dynamic charts are created based on Time, Distance and maximum Altitude.

Other thing that impresses me is that you can also email  your track, when I used the email option, it automatically generated the brief  information along with summary of your recorded tracks. You can view this track on Google map.

Overall this is a useful application, but In future updates I’m expecting that we can share our tracks in facebook and on twitter.

EasyTrails is available on both paid and on free version(supports only 30 mins of recording) on App Store , Paid version is available for $1.99 only

Thanks for your review! I just installed EasyTrails on my iPhone, and I had the surprise to discover that the a version (1.4, if I’m not mistaken) has just been released!

If I’m not wrong, you can set the distance in miles going to the settings menu…

wow, I’ve tried now the version 2.0, now it’s really the best app for outdoor sport!

I can import/export and manage/archive my apps from/to the PC too!
