SpotSMS via BigBoss Repository is a great tweak for iPhone. It adds sms and mms search to the spotlight search feature available on iPhone OS 3.0. The package is not an app and doesn’t have an icon or any settings you can edit. It is a simple addon package for ‘Spotlight Search’ like SpotBright. You need to type at least three characters.
However, the app has some issues that need to be looked over. The app doesn’t support mms feature search as mentioned in the app. It might have to do with some hack with the mms OR a minor bug in the app. Also, the app displays the phone number instead of the name from whom the sms has been received or sent. This is quite poor as people do not remember phone numbers of individuals. However, the developer promises that there will be updates to the app and new features would be added.
