Blackrain from Geohot that we were waiting for is officially out for windows now at Blackra1n.com and this would jailbreak your iPod touch 3G or iPhone 3GS with ease. A mac version can be expected soon. The biggest cheer here is for the iPod touch 3G users since the 3GS users still have to wait for an ultrasn0w upgrade to switch carriers. But the goodness of Cydia is not bad to have

The pwnage tool from Dev team currently supports firmware v3.1, though with some ifs and buts. Though pwnage 3.1.3 saves you the goodness of unlocking in some cases with your 3GS.

I’m Glad the jailbreak for OS 3.1.2 is out, But on the other hand i’m thinking if i upgrade to OS 3.1.2 i will losse my unlock? Anyone to help me keep the unlock without changing the BASEBAND i can upgrade to OS 3.1.2 and and Jailbreak it trough Blackr1n.

Please be careful of the vendor that goes under http://www.3giphoneunlock.com/, they are a fraudulent set up. Once you pay them the fee to download their software along with a digital copy to be stored for one year by a Company called SWReg, niether of them are reachable and you have poured your 30 bucks down the tube.

Andy, that happened to me too, apparently for the new ipod touch 3g you cannot turn your ipod off or else it will always say that, so each time your done with it you have to just lock your ipod and not turn it off, and hope your battery doesn’t die or else you would have to do it all over again

Blackra1n do not work. The phone never reboots it stay blck screen
I had the same issue, when I was trying to jailbreak. Make sure when ur running Blackra1n on Windows PC ur logged in to the Admin User.

hey if ur ipod shows the ipod signal once u turn it off after jailbreaking it, heres a good idea to fix it, once youve downloaded cydia from blackra1n delete blackra1n, then when u download installous or anything else u use delete cydia, try it and tell me if it works
