100,000 apps on the App Store, whats next?

Unwired View is reporting that the iTunes appstore has crossed the 1lac mark for live apps already. No official press release on announcement from Apple is seen though.

For most of 2009, iPhone competitors have been shot down by the great AppStore advantage that Apple has. With over 2bln app downloads, by far this is an eyeopener for the industry. Going ahead we are sure that other platforms will catchup on the Games + Apps race. Just today we read GigaOm taking about Android apps and the healthy road ahead for the platform. The ultimate winner for all these apps after all is surely us.

There is this amazing thing that twitter had done. Its called Lists. Wonder if we should offer this feature to our readers for creating App lists of their own. Do let us know your opinion!
