The latest offering from Saurik (who gave us cydia) is Cydget by which you can add multiple widgets to your iPhone LockScreen. Cydget is basically a platform for managing lockscreen widgets where developers can create a variety of lockscreen widgets to take control over the lockscreen and all this without touching Winterboard.
Once installed, Widgets can be configured in the Settings app under Cygdet and the widgets can be activated, deactivated and reordered. Now on the lockscreen, the activated widgets can be navigated/rotated through by pressing the Home button (without unlocking the screen).
Cydget is available free via Cydia for install without the need for adding any new source, just search for Cydget and you are ready to go. Currently there are a few widgets already available for you to try out like Cyand this will get more interesting once more and more widgets are developed.
Saurik’s note on Cydget:
“Cydget provides a comprehensive replacement for WinterBoard Lock Widgets, allow developers and web designers to take control of the lock screen using either native code or HTML with JavaScript and Cycript, allowing flexible access to Objective-C.
Like WinterBoard Themes, Cydgets are configured using a reorderable list. Go to “Settings” then “Cydget” to activate, deactivate, and organize. An example Cydget is included to demonstrate the technology: show a random picture from your camera roll.
Some of Cydget’s core benefits:
- configuration allows HTML scrolling
- multiple Cydgets can be rotated
- they stop running when screen dims
- Cycript embedding for library calls

not working…downloaded and do get the program in Settings but…it is missing the elements noted above…only get P{hotoExample, AwayView and Welcome…nothing else…bug?
just learned yu also have to download the other widgets but..you get either the HTC time widget or…wather..not both on same screen…a work in progress..think I will wait till better developed.
Steve, Cydget works, calldialer works too, all you need todo is to first goto contacts and you’ve add few contacts on favorites, coz cydialer only shows favorite contacts on lock screen, anyways photoexample didnt worked for me too…
You can install multiple cydgets and to switch between them you need to press home button, but before doin that make sure that you checked them from settings
What Happened to the ipod controls? when you double click the home button the ipod controls would normally be displayed on the lock screen. this function is now gone… or is there a workaround?
+1 on the iPod controls
