Wikipedia search on your lockscreen using Cydget

WikiSearch Cydget brings the goodness of Wikipedia straight to your lock screen. So if you find yourself logging on to Wiki or Wikipedia app too often, better get the Cydget for the lockscreen itself. This Cydget displays a Wiki search bar on your lockscreen and you can type your query for wikipedia in there. The content loads on the lockscreen itself. Its like surfing wikipedia.com, but from a browser built into your iPhone / iPod touch lock screen.

The wiki search cydget is a little buggy wrt to the behaviour of the keyboard. However the content loads perfectly and you can scroll to read.

To Install: Search ‘wikisearch’ on Cydia. (comes via modmyi source).

Note: This is a Cydget addon. You need to go to Settings>Cydget to activate this addon. Cydget is to be pre installed from Cydia itself.

Does anyone know what happened to the ipod on the lockscreen after you install Cydget? I use to be able to double click home button to get the Ipod controls up, but now that does not work, does anyone know of a workaround? I only use lock calendar with cydget.

Cheers

I’m not a programer, but I think I have a clue to as what happens. The cydgets sort of loads only what is needed, and doesn’t recognize the dubble tap. Go to cydget menu and activate away view. When at the lock screen, press home ’til you get to the away view, then dubble tap. press once to go to the next cydget.

Works for me!
