Game Review: Real Football 10 for iPhone, Simply the best

Posted by Piyansh on Saturday, November 28, 2009, 15:13

GameLoft developer has given the iPhone with some amazing action-packed games with awesome graphics. The latest one being the most poplular football game for the iPhone Real Football 10. Real Football10 i.e. RF10 is the upgraded version of RF09 and has certainly lived up to the expectations of the realfootball fans. The game has better graphics, live commentary, game-control and much more.

One more big change we see is in the interface. However, Im not sure whether the fans have taken that well. The game now takes some more time to load due to the video and the sameloft banner that pops-up as you open the app. Also I feel the interface has become slower ( tested on my 2g iPhone). One more great feature that has been added is the editor which allows you to edit the team’s formation, lineup and even tranfer players from one team to another ( Yeah..I still have Christiano Ronaldo on ManU’s team).

Like the previous version  the game offers different game modes and multiplayer using wifi, bluetooth (only for 3GS) and online options. There are added settings options like float d-pad toggle and shake sprint which are  a part of the newly added controls. Another feature that has been added is the gameloft like which connects you to the internet to various social media platforms like facebook, twitter, youtube, rss feed etc. You can also view the controller tab to see the different control  options and shots available to you as there are quite a few new controls that have been added like direct switching the players by tapping on them, auto-move etc.

Coming back to the gaming part of it, real football is definately better and much more sophisticated compared to RF09 as it offers better graphics and user-control. Even the live commentary feature is quite good. The rest of the features like replay for different angles, camera options, training modules, teams are the same. Though there are  a few new teams added with their teams updated. The gaming experience is abosultely amazing and you are bound to get addicted to it.

On the whole, the game looks nice and I prefer it over EA Sports football game. However, I still feel that the pricing could be better to appeal to a larger audiance. Currently the price is $4.99 and is available for download via the AppStore. The game also offers a free lite version with limited teams and game modes. View Screenshots below.

NOTE: The game requires iPhone firmware version 3.0 or higher.
