New Rumors on iPhone 4G, Verizon EV-DO chips being sourced? | All on the iPhone, iPod touch & iPad

Well we had already discussed about the possible new features on the iPhone 4G. Theres this interesting bit doing the rounds that we have come across. It seems pretty certain that the 4G will have a 5MP camera with OmniVision supplying the image sensors, however it is now rumored that Philips’ Lumileds Lighting is preparing millions of LED flashes to compliment the iPhone 4G camera.

Also reports from TheStreet.com suggest that Apple has signed a deal with Qualcomm to supply EV-DO chips and once the AT&T exclusivity ends, the new iPhone 4G would be released with Verizon as rumored earlier. There is a good possibility that iPhone would with a multiple carrier model with the 4G.

Besides, ability to multitasking on the iPhone could soon be a reality (we already have a confirmation for that) with the concept “Springboard Exposé”, which will enable to run multiple apps in the background. Well rumors are coming in thick and fast. We are listening to all of them with eager eyes. I can only say, the better the merrier.

T-Mobile does not run EV-DO (otherwise known as CDMA2000). Verizon does. T-Mobile’s 3G is known as UMTS, AWG, HSPA.
