Ever felt a need to share a long URL using the iPhone? Perhaps over SMS? Or just give it over a phone call? Well here is Shrink URL via Cydia that brings URL shortening to the iPhone / iPod touch. The app is simple and uses tr.im to shorten the links. You can either type the long url in the app or paste it, thereafter click Shrink URL, and that’s it. You also have a ready button to copy the shortened link to the clipboard, ready to be pasted anywhere.
If you are looking to copy a long link from Safari or anywhere else on the iPhone to shorten, just hold down your finger on the link, and you will get an option to copy the link. This can then be pasted on ShrinkURL to shorten. See image below:
