Review: Mypod (Free / $1.99)

When you expect iPod music player, you expect something better than the inbuilt one. It is better in some cases, such as YouTube video search, iTunes and iPod library search, sharing amongst facebook Twitter and via email, a playback timer with volume fade-out functionality.

These are few features which you won’t find on your inbuilt music app but included on the mypod app, but I have had a hard time going through these functions. All my songs from iTunes have not been added onto the app. There is a shuffle and change track option, which i had almost threw my iphone to get it started. The graphics aren’t much impressive either. The gestures don’t work.

Sleep timer was too already available on the iPod music. Oh ya , and it crashes a lot. Don’t go for the paid, try out the free version first. The whole idea is good of more features on the music player, but I was really expecting something better,  it is a disappointment. Hope they come out with better version.

Update: This app seems to be off App store now. Look for Mypod Plus instead.
