Steve jobs just went on stage announcing the iPhone OS 4.0 and here are some iPad sales and download figures that he spoke about. After all the rumors – here are the official stats right form the horses mouth:
- 300000 iPads sold on day one, as of today 450,000.
- Best buy is out of stock, Apple already unable to meet demand (seems like he hinted production issue)
- 3.5 million iPad apps downloaded
- 600,000 iBooks downloaded as of today
- 185,000 apps live on App Store
- 4 billion apps downloaded from App Store till date
