Review: Harbor Master HD for iPad

We just tested out Harbor Master HD for the iPad and even though it looks very simple the game requires some heavy multi-tasking skills.

Believe it or not, this game requires some really quick reflexes and a really strong brain, which apparently most of our team lacks as we were ever able to dock in more than 156 ships. I did not really like the original Harbor Master as it was on a very small screen but after doing my time with the iPad version of Harbor Master, I sort of started liking it. However, after a certain time I came at point in the game where my screen was flooding with ships and I had no chance of docking them as I was too busy avoiding collisions.

The Good.

Okay, it is not true that I totally disliked the game and I thing that porting it to a larger screen was on the best things to do. It is very immersing, has really good sounds, brilliant graphics, very entertaining gameplay, loved the Twitter integration and that’s about it!

The Bad.

Very irritating! Believe me or not but after some time the game really gets to your brain. Also, it is very monotonous as you are always guiding the ships around on the same map. Yes, it does get challenging after sometime but by that time the game successfully looses all of its freshness.

I would like to conclude by saying that it is a decent game, fun to play but very annoying after some time. This is free on App Store [Link]
