Opera Mini did make a bang with its launch on the App Store and iPhone / iPod touch users in US actually the most populous users for the worlds most popular mobile browser now. Apparently Opera Mini has as many as 2.6 million downloads already from the App Store (they had 1 million downloads on day 1 itself 🙂 ).
The iPhone platform beats Blackberries devices to reach the no 1 spot for Opera, however US still remains the 6th largest market for Opera Mini now (jumping up from the 8th spot). Opera now has close to 60 million mobile users under its belt now. Way to go with the growing mobile market and makes us wonder if Firefox will make its entry anytime soon.
