IPSW (firmware) download links for iOS 4 aka iPhone/iTouch/iPad OS 4

Apple just opened the gates to iOS 4 officially and here we have the download links for the latest mobile OS from Cupertino. The .ipsw files can be used via iTunes to update your iPhones or iPod touch (the iPad version is still a few months away).

When connected to iTunes press shift + restore (option+Restore/update) to use these files.

    And if you are wondering, Apple doesn’t officially supply iOS 4 for the 1st gen iPod touch and iPhone 2G. Once iPhone 4 hits markets on 24th June, we shall also get the link for iPhone 4 iOS firmware. Happy downloading :)

    Thanks a bunch! I kept getting disconnected in iTunes!!! Was going to take 7hrs now a little over an hour.

    i updated my ipod to ios 4 ,
    now i can’t sync any app to my ipod?
    the itunes just show me the “0xe8008001″ error number?!

    i tried to jailbreak my iphone 4 on windows XP but the cydia on my phone after the installation does not work and also my safari ,what i’m i doing , is it the XP or should i be using Windows 7 to do this, please help.

    NEVER jaillbreak your iphone with Redsn0w now you are going to have to restore your phone
