iPod touch 4G Rumor: camera and video calling (FaceTime)

We have had more than a few rumors about an iPod touch with camera. While the 3rd generation iPodtouch last year didn’t bring us any camera, it seems that Apple is gearing up for a camera iPod touch in September i.e. the annual refresh time for iPods. The Vietnam site that leaked iPhone4 have already shown a video of iPod touch 4G with camera in action, and fresh rumors suggest the same.

A great new video calling feature that Apple is promoting is called FaceTime (video calling over WiFi) and it is determined to make it an open standard for all video calling on mobile devices. However to begin with the consumers are restricted to iPhone 4 only. It is rumored that Apple is bringing a camera and Face Time technology to the iPod touch thus increasing the number of users with this ability. Guess this would speed up the adoption of Facetime … but significant enough boost?

Amongst other expectations from the new iPod touch is a Retina display (960×640 resolution), Apple A4 processor and Wifi ‘n’.
