The multi-user chat rumors on FaceTime now has a source code too. A forum member of Multi-touch fans has discovered a key in FaceTime’s code which suggests that Apple might have left room for Multi-user chat support during future updates.
The key which ‘AllowsMultipleConnections’ has currently been set to ‘False’. Some hackers have tried to change it to ‘True’ but could not see any change in FaceTime. Multi-user chat function on FaceTime might have been reserved for future iPads with camera where the large screen easily complements the function. For now, we would have to wait for next update release by Apple or for some smart hacker to put the code to some use.
