2010 has been infamous for the iPhone 4 Antennagate issue. Costing Apple in tunes of several millions, the whole issue was iPhone 4 network drop boils down to antenna physics. Steve Jobs mentioned that phones aren’t perfect and physics is yet to find a full proof way around the issue. But here is what Apple itself is planning to tackle this Antenna issue.

A patent application from Cupertino shows how Apple plans to conceal an antenna behind the Apple logo. Now thats one place on your iPhone which doesn’t really get covered by your hand, even if you are ‘holding it wrong’ :P

Apple has shown its commitment to Antenna research after the Antennagate issue became a PR nightmare for the company, shortly after the iPhone 4 launch. While iPhone 4 has gone ahead to become the best selling iPhone ever, Apple is sure working its best to create some breakthrough designs in future. This logo antenna isn’t limited to iPhones, but Macbooks and other Apple gizmos would also benefit from this.
