iPhone 5 will sport NFC chip with a twist

Apple is working on the fifth generation iPhone model that will have near-field communication capabilities. It’s no secret that Apple has pulled up socks to compete against the plethora of Google Android based models featuring NFC chips. Apple has already NFC technology covering filed patents of which one described a feature that allowed instantly fetching information about range of  products wirelessly.  Brian White, analyst with Ticonderoga Securities issued a note to investors about the rising interest in NFC technology. His sources informed him that the next iPhone will have NFC functionality.


Now Apple products aren’t the ones intended to make them join the flock. Hence, the iPhone 5 as we know it, will have NFC technology with a twist that will make it unique versus its peers. Google and Apple have keen interested in mobile payments garnered through the NFC technology. Basically, your smartphone will be an e-Wallet for making purchases online and on the move.

To stay ahead in the game, Apple will be introducing a “twist” with NFC and hence hired experts in the same field. Apple will certainly introduce it’s own mobile payments service once the iPhone 5 is launched and adopted successfully. The iPhone 5 is said to launch in first half of the country.
