Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Gets A Price Cut Before Launch? iPad 2 Effect

The iPad 2 is just out and in Steve Jobs own words, the competition is already flummoxed over the success of the first iPad. The pot PC era as per Apple is already being ruled by the iPad and the iPad 2 comes in a little early to spoil the honeycomb party. While we are yet to see reactions from Motorola, HTC or LG who have their tablets coming out soon, it seems that Samsung has already went back to the drawing board with its Galaxy Tab 10.1 that was shown at MWC.

Lee Don-joo, executive VP of Samsung’s mobile division noted that the iPad 2 is really thin and the pricing would also be a challenge for Samsung. They are rethinking their strategy!

“We will have to improve the parts that are inadequate,”

“Apple made it very thin.”

“The 10-inch (tablet) was to be priced higher than the 7-inch (tablet) but we will have to think that over,”

2011 already seems to be the year of the iPad 2!
