Apple has finally reaffirmed the UK launch of the iPad 2. After numerous rumors of a delayed launch to the 26 countries promised to get the iPad 2 on 25th March, the launch plans are finally out. I had earlier noted in a tweet last week that the iPad is actually more expensive in UK than in India. This still remains true, but the 5% discount on the iPad 2 pricing in UK is surely a cheer (this is being attributed to the weaker USD performance against the Pound). The iPad 2 now starts at £399 in UK (for 16B WiFi edition).

You can get the iPad 2 from an Apple store in UK starting 5PM on 25th March, while online ordering would begin at 1AM on the same day. This is pretty much the same as what the US launch was, but will we see similar long lines for the iPad 2 in UK?
