One of the most iconic Apple stores across the world saw one of the biggest lines ever for a product launch. Police had to come in and manage the traffic when the gates to the Apple Store opened and it took us over 3 minutes to just walk through the line which went across 3 different streets near the Regent Street Apple Store in London.
This man already had an iPad 2 and still waited for over 17 hours to get one in the line. You should scroll down and see the video of the entire line!
Apple Store Staff Distributing Tickets To The Ones In Line. There were more than 1000 people there easily.
iPad 2 Launch at the Regent Street Apple Store in London. This is just around 5PM when the gates opened.
There was no space for us to stand on 2 feet, but on the other side of the street.
This is one of the 4 sections where the crowd had gathered.
Today they are celebrities. These people have stood for more than 17 hours in this line to be here. They would undoubtedly be one of the first people to get the iPad 2 in London.

These people aren’t buying the iPad 2, they are just stunned looking at the crowd entering the Apple Store. Most of them want to grab a picture of the occasion.
