Final Cut Pro X Release in June on Mac App Store, Keynote Unofficial Video!

Apple has unveiled the next major upgrade of final cut pro which will debut in June on Mac App Store at price tag of $299. It seems that the official announcement didn’t take place in front of the huge gathering as selected people were invited for the event. The software was previewed at NAB 2011 in the evening.

It is a rebuilt ‘from the ground up’ – sharing the same look and feel of iMovie which will be shipped with 64GB of support to support the 4GB of RAM as well asĀ 8-core editing rigs. As the new FCP will be rendering in the background, you can edit the same similar way, you used to do for iMovie. There’s also a whole stash of other new features: editing before media ingest, magnetic timeline, people detection, instant color matching between clips, smart collection of media based on custom keywords and people, auto image stabilization on import, and many more.
