While its only later today that we would know the official numbers from Apple on the sales of iOS devices and other financials in the Q2 results, it seems that their lawsuit on Samsung has some tidbits that amuses us.
We knew that over 150 million iOS devices were out there, but for the first time we know that its 60 million iPod touches and 108 million iPhones sold till March 2011 (Approx 8 million Verizon iPhones?).
Another interesting fact there is the number of iPad’s sold. Its 19 million till March end. So that equals to 4 million from Jan – March 2011 (given that we know Apple sold a total of 15 million last year). And its gets even more interesting with the fact that in March, the iPad 2 went on sale in US and UK. So the 4 million figure includes sales of the iPad 2.
How many of these are iPad 2 and how many iPad 1 is something we would know soon!
